Real Estate work is a form of volume photography. On the surface, it may seem simple because you are not dealing with people and posing. Quickly, you learn that it is not as easy as it seems on the surface.
This full-day class also includes a demonstration of how to use different shooting/lighting techniques in a real house.
The afternoon class goes over all of the basics from gear and rules to shooting and lighting techniques. You will learn tips and tricks for working quickly and getting the job delivered efficiently. Practical topics on workflows are covered from booking the job, to the shoot, all the way through post-processing and delivery. Students walk away from the class with the beginning steps and knowledge for successfully photographing a home for real estate.
The evening class will continue the discussion on workflow and go into marketing ideas used to build and sustain a successful photography real estate business, as well as other genres of photography. This class will end with a question and answer segment.
ABOUT KAREN THAEMERT
Karen runs two distinct photography businesses: the portrait studio, and the corporate business. The portrait studio has a focus on high school seniors and families. The corporate side of the business is filled with real estate jobs and business portraits. Interestingly, all seem to mix together to bring in clients. The hundreds of real estate agents in her book of business continually fuel the headshots and personal branding jobs as well as refer their clients for family portraits.
