Evening Presentation: Introduction to AI Photography with Marina Shipova

By now you may have seen many examples of harnessing AI technology in photography. Maybe you have played with it with mixed results, maybe you have tried some Apps or admired some amazing and creative results on social media. Whether you like it or not, Artificial Intelligence is here to stay but not yet approved for any photographic competition.
In the evening session you will see several photographic images incorporating some AI content from personal images created and cataloged by the artist/photographer. There will be an introduction and discussion about how this trend can help or hinder your progress, how you can maintain copyright of your images in the fast-evolving digital world.

Marina Shipova Biography
Marina Shipova, artist and professor of graphic design and photography for almost 30 years with over 20 years of teaching at Peninsula College in Washington State, has been exhibiting her images at many galleries world-wide and is an award-winning photographer at domestic and international competitions. She is also a world renown artist, graphic designer, illustrator and publisher. Marina's images have been on display at Marvelous Art Gallery (Poole, UK), PH21 Gallery (Budapest, Hungary) and The Space (Vancouver, BC), as well as sold to private collectors. Before immigrating to the United States, Ms. Shipova worked at a Russian television studio where she wore many hats. Besides being the premiere graphics designer, she also produced and starred in various commercials.
Marina’s creativity and passion for classic painterly style photography is her trademark. She is now integrating cutting-edge AI elements into her photography, as well. Her attention to detail, masterful lighting and compositional skills have given her international acclaim.
